With his band, Modern West, Oscar-winning actor Kevin Costner (Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves) makes music that is rough-edged, honest and true. “Truth be told, Kevin Costner and Modern West does not sound like a movie star’s vanity project. Costner sings about freight trains, dusty avenues and broken dreams…in faded jeans, he commands the stage with the same understated sex appeal he has on the big screen” (CNN).
The band was born from a shared love of music and comprised of a tight-knit group of longtime friends, Kevin Costner and Modern West draw their influences from a broad tapestry of American music and beyond. The show itself flows from original material penned by the band to cover songs written by some of music’s giants.
